Hamilton Suite
An elegantly decorated room with delightful chandeliers, large arched windows and views over looking the hotel gardens. The room is situated at the end of a truly impressive marble tiled and romantically lit corridor.
- This room will comfortably seat up to 80 guests.
Wilkes Suite
This tastefully decorated room boasts large arched windows with floods of natural light. Access is also through our impressive marble corridor and also has direct access from our large and comfortable Blakes Bar.
- This room will comfortably seat up to 100 guests.
O’Hara Suite
With its neutral and stylish décor, that combines grandeur with intimacy, an elegant ambience it is the envy of the most luxurious of wedding venues in the area. This room can be divided into two suites, giving flexibility to the size of your wedding.
- This room will comfortably seat between 200 and 400 guests.
Our large and versatile hotel is licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships. The wide selection of different rooms have character, charm and elegance that you would expect from a renowned wedding venue such as ours.

Shh, it's a secret
One of the newest additions to the hotel is our beautiful ‘Secret Garden’. Completed in July 2011 following a £150,000 investment, this stunning outdoor space features bright flowerbeds, a grand gazebo, walkways and stone seating.
The landscaping and design was inspired by the many gardens of China that stimulate the senses and provide an area of tranquillity and well-being.
The Secret Garden is extremely popular with all our wedding guests as it offers the perfect location to enjoy reception drinks and canapés, whilst providing a stunning backdrop for photographs and entertaining your guests.
Speciality weddings
The Holiday Inn Barnsley is perfect to hold any type of wedding celebration, with tastefully decorated rooms which offer the flexibility for weddings for up to 400 guests. With a separate banqueting kitchen that can be used for your external caterers, this allows a separate and self contained working space for creating your own unique menu.
